About RASCS

RASCS is led by Richard Wade, a UK-based Risk Manager and Health & Safety professional with 30+ years’ experience helping organisations manage risk, improve compliance, and protect their people.

Richard’s work is grounded in practical delivery, not box-ticking. The focus is on real-world risk reduction, strong governance, and audit-ready systems that stand up to scrutiny.

What we do

We support organisations with:

  • ISO 45001-aligned health & safety audits and assurance reviews

  • Independent audit programmes for multi-site operations

  • Risk management support and pragmatic compliance advice

  • Training and competence development, including IOSH courses

  • Specialist support for public transport / engineering workshop environments

  • First aid training delivered at your site by Veteran Army Medics with real-world experience.

Public transport auditing and operational risk expertise

Richard has particular expertise in auditing public transport heavy engineering workshops, where risk is high and standards must be consistently applied across multiple sites.

For the last 7+ years, he has worked as an Independent Auditor for Arriva UK Bus, delivering structured health & safety audits across depots throughout the UK. This includes evaluating leadership, systems, culture, and frontline controls, with clear reporting that supports improvement, accountability, and decision-making.

Richard also brings experience connected to major infrastructure and transport environments, including Luton DART, supporting the same core objective: safer operations through robust risk controls and meaningful assurance.

Training that actually changes behaviour

RASCS delivers training designed for busy workplaces,  clear, relevant, and focused on what people must do differently tomorrow.

  • IOSH Managing Safely (available)

  • IOSH Working Safely (available)

  • A growing library of online courses designed to be accessible, cost-effective, and genuinely useful (not “death by PowerPoint”)

If you need a training solution that is easy to deploy across teams and sites, we can help you implement it quickly and demonstrate competence.

Biovitae antimicrobial lighting (Biovitae – www.lightbulb.bio)

Richard also leads a specialist division focused on Biovitae antimicrobial visible-light technology, supporting organisations that want to reduce environmental bioburden on surfaces and in the air as part of a wider hygiene and risk strategy.

This work is being re-launched under a dedicated website: www.lightbulb.bio (new website coming soon).

Why work with RASCS?

Clients value RASCS for:
